Our Privacy Commitment

Viraam is built with a simple philosophy: your wellness data is yours alone. We believe break reminders and productivity tools should help you without compromising your privacy.

Data We Do NOT Collect

Viraam does not collect, store, or transmit:

• Personal identification information
• Usage analytics or telemetry
• Break history or patterns to external servers
• Calendar event contents
• Audio or video recordings
• Screen content or screenshots
• Keystroke or activity data

Data Stored Locally on Your Device

The following data is stored locally on your Mac and never leaves your device:

• Break History: Records of completed and skipped breaks for your personal statistics
• Preferences: Your settings, break intervals, working hours, and customizations
• Streak Data: Your wellness streak counts and achievements
• License Status: Whether you're using the free tier or Pro version

This data is stored in your Mac's standard application preferences and Keychain. You can delete all data at any time from Settings.

Permissions We Request

Calendar Access (Optional)

If you enable calendar integration, Viraam reads your calendar to show upcoming meetings in focus session planning and automatically pause breaks during scheduled events. Calendar data is processed locally. Event details are never stored or transmitted.

Meeting Detection (Automatic)

Viraam detects active video calls (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, FaceTime) by monitoring running applications on your Mac. This allows automatic pausing of break reminders during meetings. We do not access camera, microphone, or any call content - only whether a meeting application is actively running.

Notifications

Viraam uses macOS notifications to deliver break reminders. Notification content is generated locally and not transmitted anywhere.

Third-Party Services

Viraam does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only external connection is:

• Apple App Store: For Pro version purchases and license validation (handled entirely by Apple)

Data Security

Your data is protected by:

• macOS App Sandbox restrictions
• Keychain encryption for sensitive data (license status, trial information)
• No network transmission of personal data

Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

• Access: View all your data in the Statistics and Settings screens
• Delete: Clear all data from Settings > General > Clear All Data
• Portability: Your data exists only on your device in standard macOS formats

Children's Privacy

Viraam does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The app contains no features that target or appeal specifically to children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of Viraam after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
